NCFE CACHE Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate

Qualification number: 610/4131/2

Gain formal, portable recognition for the skills you use every day in adult social care. This qualification is built directly on the Care Certificate Standards and is approved by Skills for Care, meeting their qualification design criteria. It was introduced to the sector to raise knowledge and skills across the workforce, standardise how the Care Certificate Standards are delivered, and reduce the need for repeat training and assessment when people move between roles.

You will study through practical portfolio development and workplace assessment, covering your role and responsibilities, person-centred practice, communication, privacy and dignity, safeguarding of both adults and children, health and safety, infection prevention and control, and awareness of mental health, dementia, learning disability and autism. It is a qualification designed to make care workers feel recognised and invested in — and to give employers confidence that their staff can provide safe, effective care.
